It has been years since I have created a Midtown Madness 2 mod, by years I mean since 2008.
Sparing you the war story, I decided to give it another go.
Midtown Madness 2 Community is still going, strongly. Group there are always creating new features, and with MM2Hook these features can really make an add-on stand out.
MM2X discord community are honestly, one of the nicest groups of modders out there. They were able to answer all my questions to get back into the flow of creating a car.
Decided to convert the Vertigo Hotrod, which was shared on “Models Resource” by Vissova (of the Vigilante 8 Community). After months of waiting, they were published. This was a great base to start.
With help from the community and most importantly MDX, who assisted me with the lua support. With that starting block, I was able to create the afterburner FX I was after which matches the RPM to increase the glow brightness and colour for the final part of the RPM curve.
